Make sure you have the right service

Start with the exact app and publisher where you registered. Similar names and copied icons can lead to different services. Never enter your credentials on a recovery page merely because its logo looks familiar.

Work through the basics

1. Choose the sign-in method you originally used, such as the app’s supported email or phone option.
2. Check for typing mistakes and follow the provider’s formatting instructions.
3. Confirm your connection and note whether the error concerns credentials, a timeout or an account restriction.
4. Make sure you can access the registered recovery method.
5. Use the recovery flow inside the verified app or its authenticated website.

If a verification code does not arrive

Check that you entered the correct registered contact method and follow the provider’s waiting period before retrying. Do not ask another person to receive or forward your account codes. Avoid repeated sign-up attempts as a substitute for recovery.

When to contact the provider

Account restrictions, lost profiles, verification failures and transaction issues must be handled by the service that operates the account. Record the exact error without exposing private information and contact support through a channel you independently verify.
