Verify who is providing the file
Check the app’s publisher and follow its authenticated distribution channel. A polished logo, familiar game name or copied page design is not proof of identity. Google’s Android download guidance explains the risks of unknown sources.
Read the destination
Inspect the domain before following a download link. Be cautious of an unexpected file-sharing service, a link sent by a stranger or a page that requests account details before identifying the provider. An encrypted connection protects transport but does not establish the business behind a website.
Keep device protection active
Read Android warnings rather than dismissing them automatically. Google Play Protect checks applications for harmful behavior. Keep it and other device-security services enabled; do not bypass a warning just to force an unverified installation.
Review permissions one at a time
Ask what function needs the requested access. Sensitive requests such as messages, contacts or accessibility access deserve particular attention. If the reason is unclear, stop and seek an explanation from the verified provider.
Protect account information
- Keep passwords and verification codes private.
- Never disclose a payment PIN to a support agent.
- Use the provider’s authenticated recovery flow for account issues.
- Do not send sensitive personal documents through this directory’s contact form.
